Black & White Gala Raises Over $100,000 for My Sisters’ Place

On Thursday, August 22, we hosted more than 200 guests at our Black & White Gala in support of My Sisters’ Place. The annual fundraising event raises necessary funds for My Sisters’ Place, which must fundraise 90% of its annual operating budget through donations and events.

This year’s signature event, the Black & White Gala, invited guests to a glamorous evening with food, drinks, music, and both live and silent auctions. There were over 25 silent auction items, with packages including dinner and shopping gift cards, a trip to several of Toronto’s top tourist destinations, an Apple product basket, artwork, concert tickets, and more! And the live auction featured eight exciting items for bidders like WestJet flights, custom jewellery designed by J.B. Simpsons, and a private Ride the Bine tour.

This year, we also introduced the Wine Wall – a fun opportunity for guests to purchase a secret bottle of wine, wrapped and waiting to be revealed!

In total, the Black & White Gala raised $119,000 for My Sisters’ Place – our most successful year to date! Our fund development team and event committee are overwhelmed with the success of the event and the generosity of our sponsors, guests, and partners.
