As news of the guilty verdict in the trial of the murders of the Afzaal family is released, we at CMHA Thames Valley Addiction & Mental Health Services stand with our friends and neighbors during this challenging time. The murder of the Afzaal family and the subsequent trail has made a significant impact on our community’s collective wellbeing.
In these times, it is not uncommon for emotions like anxiety, fear, and grief to surface, not only due to this event but also as we grapple with broader issues of hate and discrimination in the community.
We wish to express solidarity with all who have been targets of hate and violence. Our commitment to providing support is unwavering, and we are here to offer safe space where individuals and families can seek solace, understanding, and professional care.
